Strange Times
We live in strange times. When the truth is fiction, and fiction is the truth, when right is wrong and wrong is right and up is down and down is up. It is a time when there are no more heroes, no saviors, nobody to point the way home for us. Our moral compass spins in every direction.
Suffice to say that most people feel there is something wrong. Very wrong.
Insolitus Victis is my own personal attempt to come to terms with this strangeness that pervades us and our world.
My previous blog, John Ball's Ghost, was an attempt for me to come to terms with these strange times, but the enormous amount of lies and spin doctoring that I felt compelled to unearth and share, in an attempt to wake up a handful of people, left me depressed and angry, and overwhelmed. And directionless.
Insolitus Victis will be something more personal and focused. It will at times be political, and I will be addressing from time to time current events, but mostly, it will be a journey with no map down a dark path with no lantern.
I will visit here intermittently, and while I can't promise any real level of coherence, hopefully anyone stumbling upon my little slice of the world wide intraweb will come away with atleast a little more knowlege then when they arrived, and, if not, were atleast amused (or bemused).
